October 27-29, 2023 @ Camp Heart O’ Hills

Registration due by October 16th

Calling all corps praise teams! The AOK Contemporary Worship Workshop is a must-attend event for you! This workshop is designed to take your praise team to the next level. Every corps praise team will spend the weekend rehearsing together as a band under the leadership of a coach. They will work on balance, rehearsal techniques, instrument/vocal technique, band dynamics, and more! Having a coach work directly with your team will have an immediate benefit. All delegates will also be enriched by a worship/Bible study series led by DMD Andy Barrington! The Bible study and worship series can have a profound effect on your spiritual approach to worship. This workshop is an invaluable opportunity for your corps praise team to learn and grow together. The impact on your corps worship time will be immediate.

What if I don’t have a full group?

Every corps praise team, no matter how small, should attend this event. If you only have one or two in your group, that’s OK! We will pair them with others in the same situation to make a praise band.

Is there a beginner’s track?

We are offering beginner guitar for those with little to no experience!

Should Corps Officers attend?

We encourage all corps officers to attend with their teams if possible, even if you don’t play in your band. The team building and retreat aspect of this event would be enhanced by the presence of an Officer.

Should my media team attend?

Yes! If you have someone designated to run audio or visual, they should attend. They can be a part of the rehearsals, and we are offering masterclasses in A/V.

What is the fee?

NONE! THQ is coving the cost of registration.

Is there an age range?

The age range is 12 and up. Any corps sending delegates younger than 18 must designate an adult chaperone. This can be someone else from your delegation.

2020 Contemporary Worship Workshop Video Series

The 2020 CWW was held virtually, and we have made recordings of all sessions available to all! We invite you to learn from these worship sessions, bible studies, and masterclasses. Bible studies are led by Andy Barrington and Nick Simmons-Smith. transMission leads us in worship. We had excellent instructors for our masterclasses, including Randy Bonifield (The Art of Songwriting), Ronnie Murchison (Spiritual Community), and transMission (Praise Band Workshop).
