Conservatory Guitar Studio
The Guitar Studio is designed to train well-rounded guitar players in the Salvation Army. This program teaches students proper guitar technique, music reading, chord playing, scales, and prepares them to accompany worship at their corps.
The curriculum for the Guitar Studio has two main areas of focus. One area focuses on music reading. This will allow guitar players to read standard music notation. The second area will focus on chords and accompaniment, and will come from The Contemporary Guitarist method books.
This studio is under the direction of Assistant DMD Jimmy Cox.
